And he looked so innocent!
Imagine, calling Castro and those nice N. Korean leaders "evil".

Such as holding an American citizen in jail for an indefinite length of time, without charges, with no right to an attorney, while being administered by a military tribunal instead of a court of law and judged by a jury of his peers as demanded by the Constitution of the United States.....hows that for starters. The bolded part is incorrect. Padilla has a few attorneys.
However, I would sure prefer that they produce the charges. Habeas Corpus may legally be suspended by the President in time of national crisis, but I am not aware that he has taken that step.

The U.S. & state governments, from the Civil war to the First WW. That would be the same government that denied blacks the right to vote in the South?
To: sandmanbr
Who's he holding? Terrorist or traitor?
To: VA Advogado
Only when I read them to sleep with the seditious parts of the constitution.

This ended up as #550 and no one will see it there.
For some reason I don't find this bumper sticker very unifying.
And THIS will be the last post on this thread.

And if Bush violates the rights and freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution he is more dangerous to our liberty than Osama. Such as?

they're taking our guns (again FALSE)Well, but they are, and in many places - look at CA for example. Liberty has many enemies, and it's foolish to let our guard down. Yes, I think Bush being in the WH helps us more than hurts us overall. But the bureaucracy hasn't changed, and the gun-grabbers, and leftists are still out there. And in power in many places. The media still fees us left-wing garbage.
To advocate that we need to watch the administration carefully is not to side with the terrorists. It is to side with our single most important national value, liberty. I suppose the problem comes about when we who love and value our country happen to be saying the same things that those who hate our country are saying. The motives are far different, and that should be obvious on FR.
Under the regime of the Arkanfurher, I loved my country but hated my government. Under the reign of GWB, I love my country but am wary of my government. Still the same patriotic chick, ever vigilant!

I sure hope so...oops. Okay, on the count of three we all walk away.

War is Hell. When the Mig comes in for a strafing run, you don't have time to hold a trial.

Actually, no. Your right to free speech was heavily restricted back then. In the West, there was no Constitution.
The Constitution became a farce when we began sending people to Washington. Career politicians killed it.
