Tiger the "steroid freak" Woods about to receive another gift.
Garcia is the first player to whisper about the "Jordan Rules" for Woods.
Of course he was reprimanded by the PGA for slandering the Association's cash cow. I did enjoy seeing a couple of roid rages on the course today. Seems like his cycles peak with the majors.

First Archie Bunker, now Tiger Woods on steroids? ... Say it ain't so!
To: Archie Bunker on steroids
''If Tiger Woods would have been out there, it would have been called,'' he said. ''It's tough to beat a guy when ... he gets breaks and makes putts.''
Two words: Sour grapes.
Be a man, Sergio. Tiger is only human. If you can beat him, beat him.

I enjoyed today's play immensely. Tomorrow should be a banner day.
I spent the first 4 years of my life in Bethpage, and the rest of my childhood only a few miles away. I first sledded and skied on the snowy hills of the Bethpage black golf course.
The crowds are huge! I hope NYers comport themselves a little better tomorrow than they did today. Chants of "USA!, USA!" while Sergio Garcia is at the top of his backswing are out of line.

Tough to beat a guy that the PGA gives every break to - from course design to equipment allowances to a myriad of shady advantages. Woods brings billions to the networks and the PGA. They can't allow him to lose & Sergio was the first one to make the slightest hint about it.

Tiger almost blew a gasket on the middle of the back nine. Someone snapped a photo & he came apart. I thought he was going to toss his club into the crowd.
I wonder if he's stacking?

And your remarks are just about as stupid as your namesake.

Steroids would do more harm than good to a golfer.

I wonder if he's stacking?Yeah I saw that. He was an unhappy camper the whole round, until he made some putts at the finish.
What do you mean "stacking"?

Steroids would do more harm than good to a golfer. Sosa, Bonds & Mc Gwire would disagree. It has helped their hand/eye coordination and their are lots of similarities between baseball & golf. The drug's strength enhancement is unquestionable. Have you watched him pop his ball out of the deep rough. No one can do that.
To: beckett
Tiger has added lots of synthetic power and mass, but I don't think he's stacking. Stacking is taking multiple steroids at once. Pretty harmful.

Are you claiming to know that Woods is on steroids? Do you have evidence?
His physique shows nothing like the bulky muscle mass found on steroid users like McGuire or Carneseca. Quite the contrary in fact. Woods is sleek, a decidedly unsteroidy characteristic.
Sounds to me like you are just making unfounded charges because you don't like the guy.

For the first 3 rounds of the Open, Garcia is averaging 278.3 yards on his drives while Woods is averaging 275.3
The 1st round Garcia was averaging 292 yards, while Woods' best round was today's @ 284 yards
Woods probably outweighs Garcia by 30 lbs.
Now, Arch......go change your bait.
To: beckett
Woods is not slender and sleek by any means. His arms & sholders are ripped & bloated by his standards! He changes throughout the golf season and right now he is a wee bit larger than normal.
Woods is enhanced right now.
I like to see the nobody come out and win golf tournaments. Not enough money in that though. the difference in Woods being in contention on Sunday is in the tens of millions according to reports I've read.
To: hole_n_one
Woods used iron off the tee twice as often as Sergio. Actually, his strength is on display when he's in the rough. Thats if someone doesn't kick his ball out of the rough.
To: Archie Bunker on steroids
No one can do that.
Do you have any proof for this statement? Or in fact any proof whatsoever that TW is on steroids? And why would he be the only one to do so and to have the alleged advantage?
To: Economist_MA
He's not the only one who has used roids. I've got a friend who reports for ESPN - use to be CNN, who stirred me up on the subject last year. Today I really noticed it.
To: Archie Bunker on steroids
And sour grapes from you as well. Whatever happened to just playing your game and playing it well? Whining gets one nowhere but to the land of ridicule.

So if others are similarly on steroids, why does only he have the lengths?
