My poor father drank Pabst and I remember those commeercials but he also drank Schlitz and Jax. The tune for the Gillettes I can still remember,,"look sharp and be on your way, feel sharp,,,yadda. Plus they had that auctioneer doing commercials for Lucky Strikes. No filters either!! Those were wonderful days. And I remember those cooler fans,,they were in motels all over the south. We felt so ritzy when we stayed at a motel with a fan-cooler. They did make the sheets cling to you. Life was so good then for a kid.

Well, I checked in here WAAY too late tonight, but thought I'd add my 2 cents.

I remember those times too, but instead of Pabst (what the grown ups were drinking) I was limited to Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer (and if I was especially favored by the elders) over some ice cream.
