My brother in law, a certified Cajun, is making a huge pot of gumbo and e'touffee to freeze to take to my yankee daughters wedding next week in Baltimore. He thinks the groom needs something good to eat,,the groom a certified yankee and democrat to boot is ecstatic. He has been down here and loves cajun food. My dear bro in law wants to cook for the wedding. I asked him how many he could cook cajun food for and he said 3000 and he is not kidding. They are fabulous cooks.

Not a cajun dish per se, but my wife makes great red beans and rice. My mouth is watering for an oyster poorboy from Tujague's or a mufaletta from Central Grocery. Shrimp remoulade would be good right now, too.

I'll be going down to see my mother (and maw-maw) in Prairieville on the 18th (she graduated from Istrouma High in BR) and I'm gonna take Mr. S2R for his first crawfish boil!
