Glad to see you back Timeout. I've lost 75 pounds and have 25 more to go to meet my goal. That picture of me doesn't even look like me anymore. I've been doing a lot of walking, some weights, and have started running again. Sorry to hear you mum is ill. Congrats on the new baby. P.S. I still don't have blue hair, and I still don't know how to knit, LOL,LOL,LOL, (last night's post).

Rush is playing a song parody of GW Bush. And he has a new T-shirt regarding Global Warming. No doubt he's making fun of GW. Did you hear him gloat about his anti Bush remarks making it on NightLine and CNN? He just said, "Don't go "Freeper" on me, I'm just having fun with this parody. Has anyone on FR critized Rush lately? i haven't seen any Rush threads lately. Maybe it's wishful thinking. What's up with Rush? He makes fun of GW trying to reach out to the left. What about him? I think he's trying to reach out to the Libertarian and independent crowd.

Versailles is a short (<1 hr.) train ride from Paris, as is Chartres, which shouldn't be missed, not only for the Cathedral but for the quaint old streets and timbered buildings behind it. For train info, check out sncf and Rail Europe.

Oh stop it, this is driving me crazy! Mr. M and I have a Paris/London trip tentatively planned for October, but I'm starting to get antsy!

I don't know it they get a lot of snow, but it does snow some in the winter. I've never been there in the winter though.

Parker has it half right. Rosie is a "Tank Engine."

I feel sorry for her kids. These are kids that were up for adoption in the first place. I'm sure their birth parents were hoping they would go to normal loving parents.

He's been getting on my nerves big time. It's gotten so bad that I've stopped listening to him. He used to be a great clearinghouse of information, but not anymore. I think it's find to have different opinions on matters, but he's getting obnoxious with his Bush bashing. He's doing Tommy Dashole's work for him.

I was there in May when we got a bit of frozen drizzle. We nearly froze up on the second level of the Tour Eiffel as we looked down on a bunch of protesters burning a figure in effigy. Ah, those wacky, fun-loving French students!

Quite agree. Somewhere along the line, a judge had to approve all three Rosie adoptions, and I'd love to hear his rationale.

My hubby has now turned on Bush thanks to Rush. Hubby doesn't have the time to listen to Rush because of where he works. He can't get a radio signal there. So if he goes out to lunch, he listens to 15-20 mins. at a time. Hubby has been listening to all of Rush's Bush bashing and thats all he has to go on. I keep telling Hubby Rush is wrong and to have trust and faith in Bush. I wonder if Rush is aware of how much damage he is doing to the conservative base? He just said he is not a republican but a conservative. WHAT????

totally gay!

LOL!!

Been in a High School or Jr. High lately, mountaineer? One of the worst insults you can dish out is to say something or someone is 'totally gay.' Wonder if this poor child knows that?

Thanks for the touching story. It moved me. (I'm not saying how or where).

I wish we had gone out to Versailles and Chartres, but we just had so much to do, and with the crowds there at Easter (2 years ago it was) the lines just took up so much time for the museums etc. I've never seen so many people in one place! October sounds like a good time to go. Everybody is back in school, no bank holidays probably then, you should have no problem. Best to go at a time like that.

We were just limited by our daughter's school break so had to go when we could. We spent 4 or 5 days in Paris, then went down and spent about a week in the south, right on the water, near Antibes. That was the best part! The south! Not nearly as crowded, great food, the weather was beautiful, and it smells so wonderful in the hills there.

Last year I saw Rosie and one of her kids ( a boy) at the World Series Yankee game. The child looked asian. Rosie was sitting right behind home plate. I swear the whole time she was eating, LOL,LOL.

Yes, we were actually miserable in late March 2000 when we faced day after day of drizzle. We were soaked most days. We even took an open boat ride in the rain. Ah, c'est la vie!

Good afternoon. I've found a guy named Mike Gallagher, followed by Bill O'Reilly, then Sean Hannity who have taken Rush's place on my am dial. (Except when they go to commercials, and the stations are getting pretty darned good at synching their commercials with all the syndicated programming out there.)

You are soooo correct! My grandson #2, is 10 and thinks he's a real macho kid. He wants to be a Marine like his grandpa, and wants to learn how to hunt, etc. Anyway, my daughter and I are constanly telling him not to use words like "Totally gay" or "you're gay" in school, because he'll get in trouble.

You're right, that's so gay! (Should be said in a "South Park" kind of voice)

Mike Gallagher?? Hmmm, I'll have to look for him. I found Glenn Beck. Totally fun and a true Bush supporter. He's on from 9-12 every day. We don't get Bill O'Reilly out here in the DC area yet, and I don't think he's on the web. Is he? Because when Bill O'Reilly first started I went looking and he didn't have a web site. With my new wieght loss program, I have been using Rush's time to go shopping, running errans, or working out. I just happen to have him on today to see if he has changed his tune. I honestly think he is losing listeners big time and is trying for the middle of the crowd base and has given up on us. He needs to dance with the one who brought him, US! Oh well. 100 millon dollars is a lot of money. With great wealth comes greater responsibility and more is required of you. Maybe he's feeling the heat?
