If the clones had been white there would have been accusations of Nazism.

Any other race and the whine becomes, "Why do you always make (fill in name of race, sex or religion here) the bad guys?”

I personally am appalled at the lack of female villains in the Star Wars Universe. What kind of message is that to send to our young people?

I know I shouldn't be surprised by this kind of nonsense but it never ceases to amaze me
how far people are willing to stretch the bounds of reason to accommodate their delusions.

Finally saw it today. I didn't see any racism in it. But then, I'm a white male - I oppress everyone.

And to be honest, an army of Maori's (and I recognized his Maori descent) would scare the hell out of me.

An excellent example of people with too much time on their hands.

Absolutely halarious.

By the way, this was a darn good movie. Much improved over 'Episode I', but it still falls short of 'The Empire Strikes Back'. Oh well, nothing can approach that plateau.

I saw Episode Two with my son tonight..Quite honestly, I noticed nothing of the sort that is discussed in this article. Personally, I liked the contrast of character (read "race" if you want), it gave the movie more of a "diverse" (read large universe) feeling over the original three, and even episode one.

Isn't there some REAL racism going on in the world that these people could concern themselves with?

Their idea of diversity is the difference between Cubans and Mexicans.

Remembering the racists attacks made against Lucas after other Star Wars releases, I watched the movie last night keeping those charges in mind to see if I agreed. Star Wars borrows from everything known to man. The main bad guy is a white male, but I didn't see this balance mentioned in the article. There are plenty of "good guy" and "bad guy" roles in SW, and both white and brown-skinned people, male and female, are represented in each.

If Lucas ignored the criticism of the past and created what he wanted, good for him. The only real weakness I saw in the film is the acting abilities of the woman who plays the young female Senator.

If I was a midget, I would still be PO'd about the Ewoks.

Come to think of it, those stupid ewoks do make me PO'd.

The Maori? Aren't they the only indigenous people who ever succeded in fighting the Europeans to a standstill and winning?

I'm with you bro!

Hmmm, Amazon clones from Gynu, (Dykan, Ballbrakar, Femnazia, help me with a planet name here!) sounds pretty scary, too. Maybe in a future episode? Perhaps the very last one...
