Did you want to be on the Tolkien Ping list The Star Wars Ping list, or the Luddite ping list? :~D
If you are a Tolkien fan, you need to be on TWO ping lists... I am the Thain of the ping list for our reading group: The Green Dragon Inn (we are in Moria)... You could also just show up and hang out at the Hobbit Hole No ping list for that... just come as you are.
Ecurbh is the Thain of the master Tolkien list... You must ask him directly!
If you want to be on a Star Wars list or a Luddite list, I cannot help you!
Answer your question? - or too much information???? Do I have enough punctuation??? It is a fine line to walk!!!
To: HairOfTheDog
I want to be on the anti-Luddite list! Who's got that one?

I don't know doll... But I am thinking of starting a Luddite list. So far I only have one name on it.
To: HairOfTheDog
That's cuz most Luddites don't use computers! You're a hypocritical Luddite!

Thanks for the tip. Now if you could only tell me who's in charge of the "I can't wait for TTT" support group, I would greatly appreciate it. My name is GandtheD and I'm a Lordoftheringsaholic.

So you think I have a basic problem for marketing Ludditism on a conservative internet board?
To: HairOfTheDog
Great! I'll be sure to drop in as often as I can.

No, I just think you might get some odd looks. Don't go too far down that road, ok?

"Star Wars, too, contains countless echoes of The Lord of the Rings." Star Wars I is the Morte d' Artur warmed over. Mmmm, fresh from the microwave. Obi-wan is Merlyn; Luke is Arthur; the light sabre subs for Excalibur. You can fill in the rest of the blanks, just as Lucas did, sort of like "Mad-Libs".
And as I always mention, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is the Passion of Christ, and "Forbidden Planet" is Shakespeare's Tempest.
Klaatu = Christ
Gort = Holy Ghost
Patricia Neal=Mary Magdalene
Patricia's boyfriend=Judas
Professor=Apostles
Morbius=Prospero
etc...
