Who is your choice as MOST BORING RADIO TALK SHOW HOST? If you live in South Florida or the Tampa Bay area, you probably already know the answer---Todd Schnitt. The guy is an incredible bore. I sometimes take an afternoon siesta and turn the Schnitt show on just to put me quickly to sleep. Schnitt will take a topic and just beat it to death and, in the process, bore us to death. A couple of weeks ago, Schnitt actually wasted a couple of hours of air time talking about what it is like to be a lottery winner. A five minute bit was stretched to two hours of total ennui. A week after this borefest, Schnitt actually returned to this same topic again.
Basically, Schnitt is nothing more than a DJ who is in way over his head. He uses dopey DJ patter ("Hey, so whaddya think about them suicide bombers? Are they nuts or what?") to talk about current events issues. Nothing wrong with being humorous (Rush does it successfully) but Schnitt is completely shallow and his humor never rises above the level of some ignorant Middle School kid.
How WIOD (and the other stations) got suckered into taking Schnitt on as a talk show host, I'll never figure out. Plus Schnitt is so delusional as to actually believe his show is taking off. The other day he compared himself to Rush Limbaugh by saying that Rush had about 15 years to develop his show while he was just getting started in talk radio.
HEY SCHNITT, YOU MORON!!! Big difference between Rush and you. I listened to Rush almost from his first day on syndicated radio and he was INTERESTING from the get go. Key word here is "INTERESTING." Something Rush is and you're NOT.
I am hoping that WIOD will soon replace the incredibly boring Schnitt with O'Reilly or the G-Man or just about anybody else. Hell, even my cat purring is more interesting than Schnitt.
