I neglected to point out that this "third sex" spin is also scientifically inaccurate and intellectually dishonest- genetically & physically, people are male or female- there's no "third way" possible. You are either one, or the other.
....I'll tell her you said that, okay!

of course, she has no children. Ah! Well, that kind of clarifies her insouciance, doesn't it?

The "
Third sex" is an old idea, originating in Germany.

ERRR....a "Third sex?" If that's so, why are they SOOOO unhealthy? Why can't they duplicate themselves? And, why can people switch between a second sex and third sex whenever they want to? Doesn't sound too "created" to me, sounds contrived.

"Why did the Creator mix things up so much? Perhaps He has Plan is beyond our limited comprehension." Well, like Voltaire, I would have suggested some design changes before the product was released.
There is a serious impedence mismatch between men and women. The way I like to put it: if God had made men half as horny as they are--and women twice as horny as they are, it would be just about right.
Or, much more pithily, I say: "If men were women, we'd all be sluts."

While we're at it something needs to be done about the sinuses, the prostate, and who thinks it's a good idea to put all the nerves and blood vessels in the way of light trying to get to the retina...

One thing though...how does homosexuality contribute to procreation? I've never understood that. Homosexual activity does not. However, if there are genetic factors which influence a person's level of attraction toward the opposite sex vs the same sex (as seems quite plausible) there may be genes which cause people (of either sex) to be more attracted to men than usual, or which case people (of either sex) to be more attracted to women than usual. Either of these types of genes would increase the reproductive odds for people of one sex while reducing them for the other. If the former effect in some circumstances dominates the latter, then genetic disposition to homosexuality is a possible evolved trait.
Of course, this is not to suggest that men who are attracted to other men should act upon such impulses. But I find nothing implausible about the fact that there is a genetic component which promotes such impulses in the first place.

The Tenctonese have three sexes; but then again, they're an imaginary species from another planet who get wasted on sour milk.

Good idea, Null. And I'm sure it was late at night when He designed the coronaries.

I think you're right, Cat. Like many biological traits, this probably forms bell curve distribution, with the 2 1/2-5% at one end of the curve obligate heterophiles, the 2 1/2-5% at the other end obligate homophiles. The behavior of the remaining 90-95% is probably skewed toward heterosexuality by other factors, including social pressures, desire to procreate, et al.

There is no more twisted logic then by the sodomites to justify their position.
