sorry to be no-show at friday night party last night
Sandra (girl I met day rugman came) showed up at our door in tears last night
Smudge went to Heaven (her cat who had fight with coyote)
we talked for hours in our frontyard cause she was crying
turns out she is medical doctor (and just finished law school here)
yet she has very little money
it was hard to understand cause she was so emotional
seems she is an eye surgeon, but she is afraid to operate, because what if she does something wrong and gets sued
I heard of doctors who finished medical school and then were never doctors cause they hated the profession
but I never heard of a doctor who refused to practice cause they were scared
but seems whenever she runs away from dealin' with it, everything in her life goes wicky wacky
she's got to solve the problem one way or nother

she loves medicine and practising it
and loves helping patients
but she is scared to operate

she showed up first when I was posting to chickie
cause she said Smudge went into shock
and do we know name of allnight emergency vet
I got off puter right away, cause Bill had phone numbers for her to call
she was so worried 'bout money but prepared to spend anything to save Smudge
she came back when I was posting last message
her tale of visit to vet was peculiar
seems after vet examined Smudge he went in to prepare estimated costs
but she stayed with Smudge
and cause she is doctor she recognized all the signs of what Smudge was goin' thru
(he went into deeper shock and began to gasp for air)
she kept trying to tell doctor
but he was so busy preparing her bill of what it would all cost
he wouldn't come in
only said now it will cost 700 more
then Smudge went to Heaven, and that settled it
then she drove straight here and burst into hysterical tears
she had horrible night
