Man robbed at rake-point
A New Zealand man has been robbed at rake-point.
The 49-year-old from Porirua was walking to a market to buy his wife some mussels for breakfast when the incident happened.
Two men aged between 20 and 30 stopped him. One of them threatened him with a steel garden rake.
The pair took the man's wallet which contained the equivalent of just over £30 in cash after a scuffle.
They then escaped. Police are looking for them.
"He punched the one with the rake. He was prepared to take them on but he ended up on the ground," Constable Caren Huxford told The Dominion.
The pair are described as Maori or Polynesian.
Constable Huxford described the victim as a "hardy" type who didn't appear traumatised by the robbery. He only reported it after a relative convinced him to, she said.
With apologies to Grant Wood. &;-)
