What are some of your favorite comedy shows of all time?
For myself, I like Howard Stern's old Channel 9 show, Fawlty Towers, Police Squad, The Young Ones, et al. I'm sure other people have different ideals as to what they consider humorous....

Only 6 episodes produced, but: Police Squad!
Always worth checking out when they show them back-to-back on A&E every once in a while.

The "Gone With The Wind" sketch from Carol Burnett is priceless.
To: f.Christian
Oh yeah, thanks.
And I just remembered a couple more that cracked me up really good also.
The Struthers Brothers
The HeeHaw show
Didn't one of the guys from the struthers brothers run for president once?
I guess I'm really showing everyone my odd sense of humor with my choices here.

You're probably thinking of the Smothers Brothers. I never heard of the Struthers Borthers
To: mamelukesabre
I think that's Smothers Brothers.
Unless Sally had siblings with their own show.
To: savedbygrace
Yep, you're right, my bad.
To: savedbygrace
I think you beat me by about 10 seconds!

Coach - Craig T. Nelson's timing is on par with the best.
Fawlty Towers
The Good Neighbors - My favorite is when Tom is working up a rig to use the pigs' manure to run a generator to power the freezer in which the now-butchered pigs will be kept!
WKRP
M.A.S.H.
Carole Burnett Show

1.
Action! Jay Mohr as a movie producer trying to recover from his first flop. He pulls together a wild bunch to make a new movie: Wendy the Hooker, Uncle Lonnie, the drug-addled Movie Star, The Director who drowns in his own pool following a binge, the hapless writer. Only 2 seasons but it was hystrical. I recorded each episode.
2. Seinfeld The Contest, Soup Nazi, and the episode where he and George are outed. Too many to list here.
3. SNL The first 3 seasons were great. After that they were just a drag.
4. Second City TV John Candy, Eugene Levy at their best.

I never heard of the Struthers Borthers They were the two guys taking up all that space in Sallys mumu.

Barney Miller
Seinfeld
Married With Children
Everyone loves Raymond (this one has a bullet)
The two Garry Shandling Shows
Fernwood Tonight
Soap
To: Hellmouth
Barney Miller & In Living Color Just the sight of 'Wanda'( Jamie Foxx as the ugliest woman alive) was hysterical. They offended just about everyone on that show. The 'music' was awful tho.

BLESS ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SINNED ... Get fricking Smart!!!! One of the best ever.
To: Restorer
There's One more that I just thought of but I can't remember the name of it so I will just describe it.
A sitcom set in the office of a radio station(not WKRP!)and starring phil hartman, the SNL guy that was recently(?) killed by his wife.
I have two favorite episodes. The first is the one with the guest appearance by James Caan. The other one is the episode where the electronics wizard builds a stun gun for phil and phil uses it on himself to see if it works.

Oh my gosh! How did I ever forget "In Living Color"???
That show was HI-LARIOUS!

but: Police Squad And ... Sledge Hammer. Frank Drebbin, in those 6 episodes, had some inattentive parking jobs!! LOL
Drebbin always went into that alley and bought information from the "street smart" shoeshine guy. The one episode, they went through the routine "Maybe I remember, maybe I don't" Frank slips him a $20. After a couple of payoffs, Drebbin is about to leave and the shoeshine guy goes "So, you looking for O'Grady in the warehouse heist" ... Drebbin goes "maybe I am, maybe I'm not" and the shoeshine slips him a 20 "yeah it's O'Grady", "you close to nabbing him?" Drebbin: "It's hard to say ..." the guy gives him another $20 "Real close" and Frank eventually gets all his money back ... perfect..
