Daily Prayer Thread 3/30/02

Matthew 28
59 And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,
60 And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.
61 And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.
62 Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,
63 Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.
64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.
65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.
66 So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

Heavenly Father, I come to You on this day, the day we remember that Your One and Only Son laid in the tomb. The day all seemed hopeless. Father God, right now, I admit that I feel that way sometimes. It's not right and it's not what You would want us to feel. I ask forgiveness for that because unlike Your disciples 2000 years ago, I KNOW what tomorrow brings. Sunday is on the way!! We pray sometimes and look around and the world lays heavy on our hearts. It seems that prayers aren't being answered, but it just seems that way. I lift up those that are weak in body and spirit and ask that at this time of year, You renew us all. Give us the strength to continue the fight. You do hear prayers. I couldn't go on if I didn't know that You were there as the Great Healer, the Physician, the Intercessor, the Almighty, and most of all my personal Saviour. Hold us close and give us strength so that in our weakest times, others see You. Lead, guide and protect us this day and everyday. In the Blessed Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Recieved a prayer request for a young man turning his life around but bought a motorcycle and his parents are a little worried and a special one for a young daughter just to open her eyes and see the truth

I have two prayer requests, if that's ok.

My nine year old daughter is travelling on a Greyhound bus with her mother on a trip back from Las Vegas to visit my ex-wife's family. If y'all could keep her in your prayers (they're due in tomorrow at 6:30 PM), I'd appreciate it.

I have a job interview tomorrow with a local electrical contractor. This would be a huge step up for me (I'm currently working as a student worker at a local community college). I'm praying that if it is God's will that I get this job, that I have the wisdom to answer correctly in the interview.

I am wondering if you can add my brother Jim to the list. He has had several heart infections and acquired many allergies to everything since he was sent home from Vietnam with his first blood infection which destroyed his heart valve. He has been in heart failure once again after having had a massive heart resection surgery this time last year. He was air-lifted to the cardiac center in Palo Alto again, and they were considering doing a transplant. Now it seems they have decided that he is not a surgical candidate because of all the other complications. His Aorta has been replaced three times and is now absessed again. His Mitral valve is now leaking as well. I am just scared and need prayers for him. He has two children. Vanessa is 5 and Ulises is 9. They need prayers for their future as well. Thank you.
