Political news, activism, and serious news stories should go in the news forum. It's going to take a little while for everyone to get the hang of things. Right now, we don't have the ability to move threads between forums, but that is on the list. Once John has all the bugs worked out, I believe this software will be great.

I disagree. I think all news is serious. It is just that some people find certain things funny. I think the qualifier should be POLITICAL news. Otherwise GI will always just be a jokers forum. I think GI should be serious as well.
