I would make sure that the new opening is a legitimate and reputable company, if it is, then I think you should check it out and maybe apply, in case the other one doesn't work out.

Seriously, I think the Employment and Training office checks job listings before accepting them, so they're probably all right. It's just frustrating that they're working behind a screen, so to speak - to apply, I have to give a resume and cover letter to the employment office folks, who will then pass it to the actual company. I'm going to go to the office tomorrow to see if they can give me more info than just a job description, but I don't know if they're allowed to do so.

I don't know... in a legal business, and not trying to take advantage of the new employee? But apparently the not saying who they are is SOP and not to worry, I guess?
