Seriously...I do sit like 3 feet away from the TV, but it's because I'm so hard of hearing...I sit with my left ear aimed right at the TV...when it's something worth watching.

My hearing is almost gone in my right ear in the upper freq range... imagine that... but we got surround sound so I'm always lookin' over my shoulder...

I solved that problem by putting on the subtitles. They appear in the bottom black bar so they don't cover any of the picture.

That way, I am not having to constantly adjust the volume from whispering to blaring. And it really helps to understand the dialogue in some parts of the movie.

When there's a baby in the house, you really notice those quiet to loud scenes - can't get to the clicker fast enough! LOL!
