PJ's creative license more than likely sparked more than a few people to pick up the LoTR books.

My son is one of them. After the first time we saw the movie (he was 12), he said "Wow! This is better than Potter, I'm gonna get the books!"

Exactly my point. PJ pushed people into reading classics, NOT the latest craze.

After reading Harry Potter, I saw the movie and although it was well done, I am not eagerly anticipating the next movie.

Yet, I am beside myself waiting for TTT to come out!!
