As far as I know...go to the Start button, then to settings, then to Control Panel. Double-click on Sounds, locate the New Mail Notification event, and use browse to change it to the sound you want.

That was just what I needed! Thank you much sis!

I had it set on some little tiny dingly sound and could barely hear it. Now I have it set on this freight train sound, so I can hear it in the other room!
