I agree.... I like the General Interest versus News forums... It keeps people from judging us as not being news. Here, we don't have to be!
I wish people used it more, and didn't treat it like such an insult to have their stuff get moved here... It is not like a different site!
I think it is true that the news side should generally reflect current political events. Other news that is not political should be here. The Religion forum I don't go to, and I don't understand the need for the others, they seem like news to me, but they don't hurt me any, I browse back and forth regularly between GI and News.

I usually switch between GI and News. Keep up with the election news and other news. I don't go to the religion side (well, that one time when ksen made a prayer request) or to the Smokey Backroom (Oi'm a Laydee, Oi am!). I've never been in a flame war. Well....except for the elves, that is. :)
