For accountants, the first few business days of the month are called "month-end close" because that's when we finish bagging and tagging all the data from the prior month. So for me it's still September until tomorrow (or maybe even Monday).... ksen can verify this, I think...

At my previous employer we used to do 3-day closes. My current employer is a bit more lax.
