I didn't mean to say they're not beautiful, they are, just they're a little fearsome. It's nice to see folks who are in shape. There was a blond model for figure drawing class last week who is very in shape.

Thanks for the pasty link. I had never heard of them before reading the books, where they're always eating the things, along with all kinds of other great sounding stuff.

I'm definitely making one of those suet and sugar puddings.

You're welcome! Pasties were a very practical meal; they were tasty, very filling, easy to make, easy to transport, and easy to re-heat. Miners would re-heat them over their helmet lamps at lunch time.

My maternal grandfather was a Cornish miner, born in the U.S, by the way. Unfortunately he died before I was born, so I never knew him.
