Like taking pictures of my black labrador. In low light, I get a black blob (his eyes are dark too so I don't even get them to show up) in sunlight I get black with white glaring highlights where his coat shines.

A professional dog photographer at a dog show once told me that when he does portraits of black dogs he dusts them very lightly with baby powder to cut the glare so you can see their features, even in the sun or bright light.
