Boy, that's a hard thing.

I remember when I got my greyhound, though...the lady that had (fostering) her didn't want to give her up. But the minute she saw her with me, she just knew it was going to be alright. We just loved it each other.

Maybe that will be how it is with this lady?

If not, we all support you in your decision to keep the pony!

Well, it didn't feel right. She is getting the pony in the hopes that a friend of hers can train her and prepare her for her little 5 year old. This is no quiet beginner's pony. She is a hot fast pony. I said she should come back with the friend and not make a decision till the friend had tried to ride her, but she doesn't think that is necessary, and yet she wants to buy her and take her away.

This pony needs years and years of riding and thousands of miles before she should be trusted with a real little kid. By the time she is ready this kid will have outgrown her. The lady saw her tonight and thinks she can handle her without problems. I fear that despite my warnings they might trust her too much will expect too much. I have seen hope blind people. The kid wasn't that interested, the kid was playing with my dog. The mom wants it, and when she hurts the kid, they will blame the pony and dump her at the same auction we found her at two years ago. That is what I fear.

I guess I have made my decision, huh!
