Don't you love it when things like that happen? I once pulled a medication that was computer dispensed and as is my habit, compared it to the med order, to make sure it was the right thing. I kept looking at it and looking and my brain kept trying to make the order and the medication come out to the same thing...but it wouldn't and it couldn't. The medication I requested and that the computer said it gave me was not the medication I was holding in my hand. There was a "discrepancy" with the pharmacy that loaded the machine. A controlled substance too...as it were.

It's a good thing you spotted the mistake, and were conscientious enough to follow up on your feeling and correct the error!

My problem wasn't anything so serious... but it took over a day's work to track down the solution. And the annoying part was that the supposed "expert" on the phone should have been able to spot the problem with 10 minutes worth of questioning... but he didn't.

And just think. If you hadn't caught it, Old Mr. Gower would've gone to jail for killing that family...
