I stayed in Alexandria.

We just drove up for the day. I was also there volunteering for the Youth Concert, so I saw GWB "up close" at the MCI Center. That was cool.

We stood way back, but my son said with his binoculars he could see the four Presidents. It was a cool day.

We won't talk about the fact that the transmission on my car went out just as we pulled into the Metro garage...

Later folkses. Off to home, then choir practice. I will not be running and/or puking (at least not by choice).

My mom took me and both jedis. She got us up at the crack of dawn every day to avoid the traffic on the metro and then had us back in the room every afternoon by 3pm to avoid the traffic coming home. I watched life go by from the window of our room. The hotel was full of partiers and the whole Alabama republican party was staying there. I watched them leave in limosines on the way to the parties. It was snowing and quite beautiful. They looked like cinderella to me!
