, I didn't find a good non-stick egg poacher. Any suggestions? Fix them over-easy?

No kids? Three of them actually. I have steered them clear of Potter. I have never been comfortable with those books, and no, I haven't read them myself. I am only going by what I've heard from people I trust.

Where are all the hobbits this fine Friday afternoon? Out to play? Don't I wish! I'm trying to catch up on the work I should have been doing this morning....

Still, we enjoyed Harry too and are looking forward to the next book and movie. What are the ages of yours? (kids that is) Mine are 11, 7, and 5.
From what I understand the Potter books will get darker and darker as Harry gets older, so take care.

I have steered them clear of Potter. Fair enough. I'll just say I've read them and I think they're harmless. But I respect your opinion. And I really respect that you recognize it's a parent's decision.
When the next book/movie comes out we can "duke it out" on that (those) thread(s) if you'd like.

Click here to listen to The Inner Light, played by me on a B whistle. (The Ressikin Flute is what Picard is playing.)
Keep in mind, I am just now learning so it's nothing fancy!

Anyway, I didn't find a good non-stick egg poacher. Any suggestions?I recently bought a plastic egg poacher for use in the microwave. It opens on a platic hinge, you crack the eggs into the two depressions, and add a teaspoon of water to each one. Then you close it up, and microwave at 60% for about 110 seconds. You can slide the eggs out with a spoon, needs a few seconds to rinse out the poacher. I bought it at the supermarket, Winn-Dixie, I think.

That sounds good. Does it poach 'em pretty hard? I don't like 'em runny! Can you add a piece of cheese to it?
I love a couple of poached eggs with melted cheese and hot sauce so hot it makes you cry! What a way to start the morning!

Does it poach 'em pretty hard? I don't like 'em runny! The more time you give them the harder they get. 110 seconds leaves very little softness. You use the lower power so it won't explode.
Can you add a piece of cheese to it?
I guess you can put anything on that fits, jalepeno peppers, if you have a mind to.

I may even get myself to read them so I can actually have some clue as to what I'm talking about. for a change ;^)

Okay, I'm signing off for now. I may be back on late tonite to see if anyone is around.
Kevin, stay away from the precious....

"I love a couple of poached eggs with melted cheese and hot sauce so hot it makes you cry! " All you need to go with that is an ice cold "pint" to really start the day off right.

I haven't been recording much but I'll see what I can do. The only microphone I have is the one built in to my laptop and I think there's too much background noise on it. Another problem is that sheet music for the stuff I want to play is on the laptop and I can't minimize my recording software window! Grrrr! BTW laptops make good music stands. :)

Yup, time to head home from work here too... back on later tonight perhaps, if not then have a good evening all!
To: 2Jedismom
Somehow the sound isn't working on my computer. When my 19 year old daughter gets in, she'll show me how to fix it so I can listen.

When my sister-in-law was packing for college, my wife overheard her dad say "well Mama, I guess we'll have to learn how to work the VCR..."
To: Corin Stormhands
That's funny about your sister in law's dad. I did crawl around on the floor looking for the problem, but couldn't find it...
