The most damage was done to the big upright stones, which are mostly older stones.

Geez, some people are working awfully hard to get their Human Race Membership card disqualified these days, aren't they? Very sorry about your heartache, friend. Pigs!

Yeah, I am trying to calm down about it. I need to go to bed early... busy day tomorrow, and I need to be rested. People amaze me, and often that is not a good thing.

Oh Hair, how dreadful. I'm always sorry to hear about such things. Some skin-head kids tore up a jewish cemetery a couple of years back here in Tulsa and I felt so bad about that. The cemetery had to go through some sort of re-sanctification, if I recall correctly. It was very depressing. I can imagine how you must feel, especially if you have had your emotions a little raw today (being Memorial Day) like I have.

It is dreadful. I imagine it was kids, kids that have never cared about anyone but themselves or lost anyone. And I should clarify, it is not only a Masonic Cemetery, there are many different sections of a big cemetery, like a big Catholic section, and a Jewish section, and other sections. The Masonic section is one of sections, and I think was the one most hit, but the story was brief.

Well, I just got in from hearing that celtic band play and it's perhaps an amusing story, so I'll tell you in hopes of picking up your spirits a tad?
First off, I went with my mom and dad and an older couple that goes to my folk's church (S. Baptist, ya know). The band was playing in an Irish pub, you know... Anyway, the food came and my dad blessed the food for the nourishment of our bodies right there in the pub.
The music was great, the whistle player (my aquaintance) did a great job and I could have just got up and did a jig right there. My swedish husband didn't so much as twitch a muscle, bless him. He had very little interest in it, and I appreciate that he took me!
The boys were naturally the only kids in the place, but everyone was kind to them and they even sat on the step near the band and listened, much to the delight of the drummer, who grinned at them broadly. (They were very well behaved and got heaps of praise on the way home.)
I had corned beef and cabbage with a slice of very rich chocolate cake that I shared with Steve and the boys. The cake had a dollop of "Bailey's Irish" whipped cream on the side and it was the first time I've tasted that in over 10 years.
I wish Steve had enjoyed it more...I doubt if he'll take me again, but oh well. The last "date" we've gone on was our anniversary last December...and the one before that was our anniversary 3 years ago! It was fun to get out, even with a party of 8.

I'm going to bed...is there no nightlight?
Good night all.
To: 2Jedismom
Here is a nightlight! I know it has been used recently, but I need a powerful one to brighten my mood. I haven't read your post about the band yet... wanted to catch you before you sign off!

Good morning! I hope spirits are better today. It's a dreary day here but it's off to a decent start, I think. And I have something for discussion if I ever remember it again...

Good Morning!
Weather is bright and sunshiny here (although we need the rain....It figures...as soon as I put seeds in the ground the skies dry up!). The printer is broken, hard drive failure is imminent, my protocol isn't approved yet, and deer are eating my hostas. Other than that it's a great day!

A run for the Precious is just the thing to bring hobbitses out of lurking!
To: Overtaxed
Here hobbits, hobbits, hobbits! Come get the Precious.
To: Overtaxed
Maybe hobbits don't want Precious anymore. How about Dwarves, Men of Gondor, or Beornings?
To: Overtaxed
This wont do! Can't let the Eye have Precious.
To: Overtaxed
I guess that means...

...that silly Tooks....
