Christmas is good to go. Decorations, gifts.. all set. *whew* Now I can relax and enjoy TTTARRGH! I've bought all the gifts, but still haven't wrapped any or gotten my decorations done! I'll be doing that all week. We keep ours up through Epiphany, Jan. 6th, so we have a nice long time to enjoy them without them getting 'old'!

I'm quite amazed myself. In years past I would be writing and giving final exams and wouldn't have time to even think about Christmas until the weekend before. Of course, it meant I hit all the excellent half-price sales at Michaels and JoAnn's so I now have a wonderful stash of lovely decorations. This year things ran like clockwork- no stress! I'm still pinching myself.

Sorry Seamus. No experience here. You're in our thoughts and prayers.

G'nad the singing dwarf! Hey! Mrs. Stormhands and I sing too...

But you could create an album there where we could go look.... at least those that are members! Oh yeah...That's what I meant. I'm hesitant to post "real" pictures here. Dunno why. I think it's something I learned in the religion wars...

Perhaps all of you who are waiting to see the movie later can stay here when we move to the new hole tomorrow.
But I'm ready to move. We're not going to have to keep up with two addresses are we? I can't afford two mortgage payments.

Can you hold on to a potato gun with your hands when firing it, Hair?
A strong hurricane, you are not able to stand in it. Some like Andrew, have winds over 150 mph, gusting to over 200.
In that one I was scared, even in the house, with all the windows boarded up. Next day I nearly got lost in my own neighborhood, things looked so different. no more street signs, all the roads completely filled with trees and debris, for miles, trash and wreckage everywhere, most homes damaged, many completely destroyed.
Ever since those antique planes flew over last week, my smallest dog, Minnow (who is again dyed blue), keeps looking up in the sky, barking at whatever he sees there, helicopters, buzzards in particular, airplanes, which he now follows with his eyes.

Christmas is good to go. Decorations, gifts.. all set. *whew*... We've managed to get a wreath on the door...

Okay. Looks like I'm caught up...

I am going to start Christmas shopping Wednesday afternoon. I think that'll be enough time. Tree trimming will occur on the 23rd.
To: Corin Stormhands
Wow! Very efficient catching up job!
I'm outta here myself in a few to go to an office Christmas party. Don't want to go, but is politically expedient. *sigh* At least they're still calling it a "Christmas" party!

Mrs. Stormhands and I sing too... Well I'll be! - I had no idea singing was a talent common to dwarves! My apologies! What a talented group we are.
To: Sam Cree
Certainly you can, must in fact, hold the potato gun when you fire it. It does not kick a lot, they are so heavy. Hold by the barrel and the striker, and aim it slightly up to get more distance. When it fires, you will hear a pop/thunk, and in time you will be able to tell by the sound whether it was a good shot, or a short shot. (the potato leaving the barrel sounds like popping your cheek with your finger, like some people can do).
Have you got them built? - Or just working on them?
I know hurricanes are intense, as is the damage afterwards. That is what I would jump to see! One can't appreciate it fully from pictures.
To: Corin Stormhands
Caught up that fast? - We must have been boring! I am entering data and goofing off in between.
To: Sam Cree
I wish you luck and speedy completion of your task.
I was particularly struck by how miserable and grouchy everyone was (more than usual for Marylanders) when I was out shopping. I made sure to be polite and chipper and extra patient with the traffic. I said "Merry Christmas!" to the cashiers and chuckled at how awkward their answers were. Mostly "Same to you" and "Yeah".
I think the worst part about Christmas is the gift-giving, or at least what gift-giving has become, and the brutish acquisition of the gifts. The holiday that is supposed to bring out the best in us now brings out the worst.

What a talented group we are. Spongebob can play his nose like a tin whistle...

I think the worst part about Christmas is the gift-giving, or at least what gift-giving has become, and the brutish acquisition of the gifts. Especially if they're just going to exchange them on the 26th
To: Overtaxed
Oooooh yeah! That goes on my list of gripes, too. The epitome of selfishness! Not to mention tacky tacky tacky!
To: Corin Stormhands
Spongebob can play his nose like a tin whistle... LOL! How handy that would be! What key is it in?
To: Lil'freeper
Ok, all. I'm off to the office party. I'm going to force sweet smiles and play the office politics game. Being rather new at this- wish me luck. I'll check in this evening. Approx 51 hours 'till my showing of TTT! Wheee!
