H2S + H2O = H2SO4

WRONG

SO3 + H2O = H2SO4

The sulfur in hydrogen sulfide has a valence of -2, while the sulfur in sulfur trioxide or in sulfuric acid has a valence of +6. You should have learned that in Chemistry 100.
