I'm not the best fudgemaker in the world but I think it has to do with the beating. If you don't beat it enough it can do that.

Here's an easy one if you can remember what the ingredients are. Cup each.

Ten Cup Cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup coconut
2 eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped pecans

Mix together sugars, butter, peanut butter, and eggs until fluffy. Add flour, oatmeal, soda and baking powder, and coconut. Mix well and add chocolate chips, raisins, and nuts. Preheat oven to 350. Drop cookie dough onto cookie sheets and bake for 13 minutes.
