A glitzy Vogue cover featuring former President Barack Obama, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Georgia Senator Jon Ossoff and Michigan Senator-elect Abdul El-Sayed has caused an uproar online.
The only problem? It's not real.
Self-proclaimed comedian Brian Marquis posted the fake magazine cover, which was seemingly made with AI, to Instagram on Tuesday.
It went viral almost immediately, as thousands of people across the globe believed that the faux photo shoot was legit.
The phony cover showed Mamdani standing in a pair of jeans, a black V-neck sweater and a long brown coat.
Obama posed next to him in a navy suit, smiling warmly towards the camera.
Ossoff leaned against a wall beside them, donning a velvet sports jacket, dress pants and a pair of glasses.
Also in the image was El-Sayed, who sat on a stool wearing a green long-sleeve shirt and black trousers.
'The men of style,' was etched across the photo. 'Obama and the moderns. Global leaders, fashion icons: a unique Vogue conversation.'
Elsewhere it also said in bold, white writing: 'Men who appreciate women.'
The post now has over 363,000 likes and thousands of comments, and while many realized that the cover was not real, others confessed that they fell for it.
'Please god tell me this is not AI,' one user commented.
'I always fall for AI,' someone else admitted.
'Is this real?' asked another user. 'Because YES.'
Others begged Vogue to make it a reality, as another fan penned: 'I wanted this to be real so bad.'
Someone else joked that President Donald Trump was going to think it was real and get upset he wasn't included, writing: 'I wonder if Trump is going to tweet about why he didn’t get picked for this.'
