Logic-based, yes. Not sure about anyone else, but as for myself, it's been a source of some frustration to read a different definition on so many websites of exactly what "the precipice" is. And if there was ever a general agreement on the "what", the "when" was changed constantly.
I'm probably not saying what's on my mind very well. But for the past few years, it's been like stumbling around in the dark, unable to see a blasted thing but being assured that "there's a door in here, really there is".
