A woman had a close call with a great white shark when she reached off a fishing boat to pet the marine apex, leading the shark to thrash around and lunge.
According to Jimmy Armel, the founder of Knot Lucky Fishing, the woman was never in any real danger because the crew had the shark under control the whole time.
“One second Jen, one of our veterans, is laying her hand on a wild white shark like it’s the family dog, and the next second that shark whips around and lunges toward her,” the organization said in a Facebook post. “Everybody on the boat felt that one in their chest.”
The video comes from Knot Lucky Fishing and its the White Shark Tagging Program with Starbrite, Project SeaSafe and Gray FishTag Research.
The organization is based in Savannah, Georgia and takes veterans, active duty service members and their families on free fishing trips.

That is the stereotype that is running through women who hate men.

I get angry at these, presumably AI videos showing wild animals falling in love with people. The average person has zero experience with real danger so seeing how cute and cuddly a wild fox is represents a real danger.
Parents should teach there children to respect the privacy and solitude of animals they don’t know. But those parents were raised far from the farm and reality.
I consciously avoid 99% of what folks call “mainstream media.” It’s bad for your brain. We here on FR are in a tiny, sadly vanishing, well-informed bubble.

Well there are Great White sharks at one end of the spectrum, and Nurse sharks at the other end. This past summer the wife and I went to the Bahamas and spent about an hour swimming with Nurse sharks. They have small mouths and small teeth and seem to enjoy being petted and fed. You can even turn them over on their backs and rub their undersides which seems to calm them even more.
She probably survived sticking a fork in an electrical outlet as a kid.
Also making animals have human qualities in the entertainment industry also adds to that mindset. Polar bears drinking Coca Cola does that too. They are however considered the most dangerous of bears and will happily eat you regardless of how cute they are.
I had a shark give me flowers before trying to eat me!! 🤣
