CUPERTINO is a David vs. Goliath legal drama set in the heart of Silicon Valley. A lawyer (Mike Colter) is cheated out of his stock options by his former employer, a tech start-up. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney (Rachel Keller) to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.

Also the first series we've started where a character isn't gay, or ambiguously gay. (So far.)
Plots are interesting.
There are 20 episodes in Season 1, but only three have been released.
>> The first series we’ve started where one of the two main characters is a conservative Christian young lady.
And it’s on CBS, you say? Not CBN? ;-)
Apologies for my pessimism and negativity up front.
From the commercials and it being cbs I was expecting the narrative to be blacks are superior to Whites.
I’ll give that network the benefit of the doubt until they prove otherwise.
Yeah. We were pleasantly surprised, just waiting for the other shoe to drop, i.e., racism, homos, disparaging the Christian (who attended Liberty University and whose parents are publishers of Christian books). None of that happened.
As future episodes drop every Thursday, we’ll be holding our breath expecting to be disappointed when Woke comes through the door. We shall see....
“ a character isn’t gay, or ambiguously gay. (So far.)”
I was flipping through Amazon Prime and etflix looking for something to watch. Found a series about a big city doctor who relocated to a small New England coastal village filled with lovable characters. The locals are counterpoint to the newly arrived gruff, crusty big city doctor new to small town life. Looked promising. Fifteen minutes in the doc goes to the local coffee shop and, sure enough, the owners are a gay couple, one black and one white. The black guy was a lisping, limp wrist stereotype. Click. Done with that. Yuck.
Oh. I know EXACTLY the show: “Best Medicine”.
We were so excited about it because we loved “Doc Martin”.
First episode ... NOPE! When the homo married restaurant owners showed up, we stopped watching. Disgusting.
I had been a lukewarm fan of the medical show, “Doc”. Stopped watching that one because almost every character is DIVERSE. Two are white I think. NOPE!
I’ve watched the first three episodes and really enjoyed them. Plus, it’s the first new show that doesn’t have some LBGTQ+ appeasement in it. Kudos to the producer and advertisers!
Contrast that with 911 with an interracial couple, two gay guys, and a lesbian couple. My grandson loves fire engines and we watched the first episode together, but when he asked why the two guys were kissing, I clicked off and never went back.
Way to mess up a franchise.
“...it’s the first new show that doesn’t have some LBGTQ+ appeasement...”
Give it time. Woke networks just can’t help themselves.
I find it hard to believe that they will leave a Christian character alone without eventually trashing it somehow.
My guess is that at some point, a gay or lesbian couple is introduced. The Christian woman will initially respond in an “intolerant” manner, but the homo couple will do something that leads her to “see the light” and totally accept and embrace them, while simultaneously acknowledging the “flaws” in her Christianity.
That sounds about right.
If you’ve ever seen the movie “The Bird Cage” it’s kinda like that.
Narrative was how “normal” homosexuality is and Conservatives are intolerant and judgemental, all rolled up into a comedy featuring two world class comedians to make it tolerable.
Seen reviews of it. Looks good so far..
I completely agree with you. Interested to see where this goes. Pretty good so far.
I’m loving it. I was so pleasantly surprised. to be honest, I thought I was gonna hate the show. one. I think the name is stupid. two, I just thought oh geez this is gonna be horrible, but I was wrong. and I’m glad for it.
I really love this show. I’ve watched three episodes so far and it’s really good
Yes, it’s one of the better shows now. The stories are very good, too.
“...cheated out of his stock options by his former employer, a tech start-up”
It’s a common story in Silicon Valley. I worked for several very early stage start-up companies that nobody ever heard of. The valley is FULL of them. You always hear about the huge successes but you never hear about the 100 or 1,000 that failed for every home run. When a company is struggling and cannot ramp revenue or profits as expected, it needs another round of venture financing. That means the company has to issue new shares for the VC firm(s) investing and massive dilution of the existing shareholders, i.e., the earlier investors and employees. The employees often get diluted to nothing. IF the company takes off, most of the returns go to the investors and the founders. Most employees who have been toiling long hours to actually build the product get very little. You feel cheated, but it’s just the way of the world. Young starry-eyed employees arrive not knowing how this works.
Yet the Brass Ring still shines brightly and people continue to reach for it.

“Kudos to the producer and advertisers!”
Absolutely! I’ve been wondering how to get that message to the producer. We need more of the old-timey decent shows that haven’t buckled under to woke. Smart discussions / humor, good plots, no gays,
Also, we were looking for a series to binge and saw “Chicago Med” on the list. Within the first minute, Rahm Emanuel was brought on stage and he was being celebrated. We usually give a show 15 minutes. So ... not even one minute.
I’ll wait until after the final episode airs for the post mortem, suspecting that the first impressions might be a form of trojan horse to lure viewers. Sick and tired of the mandatory quotas of gay characters, racially mixed marriages, and gay sex scenes at every turn.
