The NFL should relocate the Steelers-Saints game in Paris to London

Posted on 10/24/2026 8:58:28 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

It’s surprising that it’s gotten to this point. The warning signs have been obvious for weeks. A soccer match between PSG and Lyon recently was moved from Sunday to Monday, at the direction of French authorities. If the NFL won’t do the prudent thing and move the game to London, the powers-that-be in Paris should direct the NFL to bump Steelers-Saints to Monday, too.

There’s no reason to wait. They should make the move now.

Can't imagine a well run business not taking all the precautions ahead of any danger real or imagined. Making that decision now would show indecision. Going ahead with the game could be at worst catastrophic. Would you put your safety in the hands of the French? What do the players have to say other that to protect their paychecks? Sending the military in harms way is part of the soldier's deal but civilians? They didn't sign up for it.

no- let them play in Paris and let there be mayhem...let them stop the team busses from getting to the stadium, let the smoke from the homemade bombs move into the stadium and let the game be interrupted due to the protests....

They want this globalization and want to expand the sport to places where people really don’t care about the NFL? Let them pay the consequences....

Lemme let you in on a secret: It would be to our benefit to see the NFL end up with egg on it’s face over this. No one gets hurt but the game gets cancelled due to safety concerns. The league has been rubbing woke stuff in our faces for too long. Let the paying fans get angry over no way to reschedule the game. Winner determined by the flip of a coin? Think of all the money spent on overseas travel-fans and players alike. The next weeks opponents don’t get that ‘bye’ that comes with a cancelled game.

Sounds to me like a cancelled scenario will end up like the Biden Administration’s performance.

Yes they should play in Paris, just so Americans who don’t see news and just watch sports can see what’s coming here.

Lefties on our end hate the NFL and would like to see the evil capitalists stumble. Win-win I guess. Still, while they hate the NFL they still follow their team. It’s like the Walmart haters shopping there.

Think of all the big plans gone astray. The Continental Railroad took a northern route rather than the preferred sunbelt route due to the Civil War. JFK’s intention to pull out of Nam’ before his assassination. Lincoln’s intention the send the slaves back to Africa b4 he himself was taken out.

Perhaps Asia would be a better market than those who can’t deal with muslims.

I was a Stiller season ticket holder from the mid 60's through the early 2000's and at one point had ten season tickets {mid 70's} when they were valuable because home games were not on local TV.

I sold a boatload of product because of gifting Stiller tickets {it was not a bribe, it was a suggestion}.

You couldn't pay me enough to fly to that shit hole paris, where you maybe tried in a Shria court, to attend that game.

I hope no American is hurt or killed just for going to watch a football game, but I wonder what the betting odds are?

If any frogs get killed by the mooselimbs...well, they have been begging for it for years.

c'est la vie, you dumb, stinking bastards.

Why would London be any better. It is also overrun with leftists and muslims.

Why not play the game in the good old USA? Nobody in either Paris or London knows the difference between a touchdown and a touchback or can explain the difference between a quarterback and a cornerback.

No, the NFL will be fine where it is. I want to see this train wreck live.

They are going to eventually need more foreign players because more and more Americans are choosing not to play because of the health issues.

Play it in Algeria. That will make it closer to home for the fans.

“Sending the military in harms way is part of the soldier’s deal but civilians?”

A least the soldiers are armed and trained how to protect themselves. I am sure the NFL is full of a lot of thugs but I don’t think the items they would need for their personal protection would ever get past customs.

BTW, can someone tell me why changing the game to the next day has any reason to make the situation safer. I was involved with anti-terrorism working for uncle sugar and to my knowledge, they don’t punch a time clock. And some of the players may be in agreement with the rioters anyway.

It is rough enough going to the west coast for games. The European team will have an impossible travel schedule
