To defend a leftist politician who spoke in front of an upside-down American flag, Axios published a fake fact check claiming the video was “doctored” by AI and that, in reality, the flag was right side up.

I guess I don’t understand what you are saying. There are a a lot of people, me included, that shed blood and were permanently disabled fighting under that flag. Any time it is mistreated or used for a cheap scam I take offense to the action.
An investigation by KATU found cached photos on Google of Fai and several other speakers at the same podium with the USA flag upside down. The now-deleted photos link back to the Somali TV Minnesota Facebook page.
This is a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 700 which is a federal statute that makes it a crime to knowingly mutilate, deface, physically defile, burn, trample, or place on the floor or ground any U.S. flag, carrying a penalty of a fine, up to one year in prison, or both. Everyone that allowed that video on the air should be liable. And in the article sited above the politician admitted she didn’t check the video to try to “get by”. Is she not responsible for it’s getting on the air to represent her if she could have flagged it?

AI doesn't modify an image and then publish an article with the fake image, without being prompted by a human. It is Asios, not AI, that is responsible.
Follow the link I provided in my initial response, it is a rebuttal to a previous poster by a Freeper who was using Axios as a source to further there TDS fever.
