Imho—you bet.

Federal money is being dumped into this stuff—taxpayers are robbed.

Local communities are often conned into paying part of the tab.

Local citizens get higher electricity and water bills in many cases.

Then there are the shareholders—scammed with promises of great profits in the future.

There is a whole lot of looting going on....

Nice fact-free post there.

With respect to the last one, if someone buys shares in a company which then go down, absolutely nothing got stolen.

Federal money is being dumped into this stuff...

I was curious about that statement and apparently it's true.

- The Genesis Mission: The Trump administration launched this $5 billion "AI for science" initiative across 15+ federal agencies to direct science funding toward AI-driven research, biomedical innovation, energy grids, and national security.

- Defense & Government Contracts: Federal AI obligations reached $4.1 billion across more than 2,200 contracts from FY2019 through FY2025 (with FY2025 obligations hitting $1.162 billion). The Department of Defense (DoD) dominates this spending, accounting for nearly 99% of potential contract value as of 2026.

- Legislative Funding: The One Big Beautiful Bill Act allocated over $1 billion toward advancing artificial intelligence across federal operations and private-sector innovation support.

So yeah, apparently taxpayers are being turned into unwilling "investors" in AI.

It's for the children.™
