A woman from Squamish, B.C., who married an ISIS fighter and moved to Syria over a decade ago has pleaded guilty to a terrorism charge.
Kimberly Polman spent nearly four years in a Syrian detention camp before she was repatriated to Canada in 2022.
In 2024, she was charged with “leaving Canada to participate in the activity of a terrorist group” and “participation in the activity of a terrorist group.”
On Thursday, she pleaded guilty to the first charge, one month before her trial was set to begin.
The maximum sentence for such a terrorism offence is 10 years in prison. (snip)
Her family said Polman is no longer associated with ISIS and believes she is a target of the terrorist group and fears for her life.

In 2019, and in 2026.
Pirates were terrorists. We used to hang them when caught.
Photos.
Converting to Islam in order to hide bad hair is no excuse.
Probably happy to do time in a Canadian prison.
LOL! But could be her hair fell out from malnutrition or stress. I guess she prefers even a Canadian prison to a Syrian detention camp.
Wow, the years have not been kind to that woman. Guess living in a craphole as a terrorist doesn’t exactly help, either.
Dumb white woman.
Who believes that having sex with terrorists could actually be a smart thing.
Ok so she’s not attractive. Perhaps she joined the terrorists so she could get laid. Everyone is entitled to a sex life.
