Very inconvenient for the "our elections are safe and secure" crowd.
No joke, a Utah postal worker has been indicted for allegedly yeeting more than 300 mail-in ballots into a church parking lot dumpster right before the state's June primary.
Damon Matai Seei, 34, of Payson, was working his route in Eagle Mountain when he apparently tossed the ballots in a dumpster.
He allegedly tossed the ballots along with other mail, so we're not entirely sure whether he hates elections, hates his job, or just had a bad day.
(It was Pride Month, for goodness' sake, the worst time of the year.)
You might be wondering where the name "Matai Seei" originates. It's Samoan.
The U.S. Postal Service, meanwhile, declared that "illegal mail-handling behavior by employees will not be tolerated" and reminded everyone that election mail is "top priority."
Maybe, just maybe, Republicans could go ahead and pass the SAVE Act, and we could stop worrying about all this nonsense.

Yep! “Conservative areas” makes sense but how does one know a conservative area? He’s not very bright because he’s a postal worker. Maybe he leafed through them?

Well, there was an article, earlier. About “pink” and “blue” envelopes for primary ballots. All a delivery truck needs is someone who can count. Any distinguishing feature (like yard signs) will do.
The Post Office was not designed for this. States cheat, and the States know it.
Gee, I don’t know. Maybe you deliver American Rifleman or American Hunter to most of your houses? That sort of thing?
It’s really not rocket science. No one is saying postal workers are Einsteins, but they’re generally not morons, either. Don’t dehumanize those you disagree with (or assume you disagree with).

When I’ve knocked on doors for campaigns using a walk-list that identifies party affiliation, I’ve noticed that 90%-95% of the houses displaying an American flag are Republicans.
All election crimes should be treated as felonies to keep these folks out of any kind of government role.

That tracks with the two democrat houses across the street from me. In 25 years neither have ever displayed anything patriotic outside their homes.
None of them are believers in Jesus Christ either.
My bet is this has more to do with laziness than malice. I bet if they dig in further, they are going to find that he has a history of dumping mail that he was supposed to deliver. Unfortunately, there is a long history of lazy postal workers dumping mail in the trash bin instead of delivering it.
