Yeah, he certainly could be a real boob. But he also (apparently) had Dolly’s trust for decades. That’s a hard thing to discount.

It’s also very possible that her manager could be trying to pull a fast one and freeze him (and some other family members) out of their share of the estate. I could see where someone would not take that well.

Basically, I would look at everyone’s motive & actions with a jaundiced eye. When a rich person dies, the knives often come out among those who want a share of the estate.

And it has been reported that Dolly had worked very hard to try to minimize the possibility of these sorts of things happening, by paying people well while she was alive, and leaving most of her savings to charity. Even the fact that she set up an LLC to take care of her on-going brand shows foresight.

Imagine how crazy the background with Prince or Michael Jackson, who didn't have things so well spelled out have been?
