No hurricanes so far this season so now a monster El Niño is coming.

No, that’s consistent. An El Nino (Pacific) results in high wind shear in the Atlantic, which suppresses storm formation. Meanwhile, there are brutal storms happening in the Pacific.

Something wrong with these numbers...
the author multiplied the 3.07 by 9/5, but forgot to add the 32. But that would still be only 37.5 degrees F. Sounds pretty cold for a tropical surface temperature.
