Mamdani could then be a great mayor, compared to his current state of being a sucky mayor. Could, but probably never will.
President Trump is the most outspoken resident of the Oval Office in the history of the Republic.
He’s perfectly capable of speaking without the need for translation. When he attacks Talarico or Newsom or Schumer, no one needs to check to see if he was winking when he was speaking.
There was no reason for the meeting with Mamdani and even less reason for uttering words that could even remotely be construed as praise.
