My homeschooling kids were threatened ad nauseum about their futures when growing up. One is now an attorney, passed the Unified bar which covers 26 states. One is now an engineer in satellite communications. One is a rare books librarian that repairs rare books and historical documents in the federal archives.
The institutional crap you get as a homeschooling product is just part of the totality of your education.

Sounds like we have the same family. One of my homeschooled kids is an astronautical engineer. Another is a book editor with a multi-million seller under her belt.
