(They play their next 3 games against the last-place Rockies, then their final 3 games against the Padres--they pretty much need to win all 6 games and have the Padres swept by the Dodgers to get to the playoffs. The Padres have won 13 of their last 14 games. That could be their best record in any 14-game stretch in their history.)
For all intents and purposes the Rangers and Astros are tied. If they finish with the same record, the Astros win the tie-breaker.
