If you want to live in the United States, learn the language. If I wanted to move to France, I would learn French.
Voting often involves more than just selecting a candidate. Consider how confusing a proposed amendment can be even for native language speakers. Then consider that someone who learned English as a second language may be quite proficient speaking the language but may have trouble when reading complex materials in English. I’d rather these voters had no confusion over what they were voting on. Remember too that Dems are notorious for wording amendments to be deceptive. Clarity matters.
