Why, indeed?, since there is officially no such Mustang. I assume you meant GT350. The answer is because it's a great investment, and it has to be driven frequently to keep it in top working order.
(1) because I can’t afford a 427 SOHC.

No. 2 reminds me of me; I have to constantly watch out for the Gun of the Month Club, lest it drive me out of my house. I solved the Book of the Month Club problem by getting a Kindle. Sadly, guns can only be bought in hard copy.
