His family noted that he lived with multiple mental health disorders and was suffering from a mental health episode at the time. Following his arrest, a court order issued in June 2026 deemed him incompetent to stand trial. Tragically, while being held at the Chesterfield County Detention Center, Blair passed away in July 2026; an autopsy later ruled his death a homicide resulting from severe dehydration and neglect.
