Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) has taken direct aim at President Donald Trump and his immigration crackdown in a new re-election ad, warning that the Hispanic voters who helped return him to the White House in 2024 now feel “betrayed.”
The congresswoman, who endorsed Trump in 2024 and urged Hispanic voters to back him, delivered the unusually direct message to the president as she campaigns for another term in her Miami-area district.
“Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far. In July, 50% of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal record. Be careful what your advisors are telling you about immigration policy. The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today,” she warned in the ad.
She continued: “You can be for immigration what [Abraham] Lincoln was for slavery and [Ronald] Reagan was for communism. I’m not talking about giving them amnesty. I’m talking about giving them a dignified life in this promised land.”

The video comes weeks before the November midterm elections, when Salazar will face Democratic nominee Eliott Rodriguez in Florida’s 27th Congressional District. Salazar won the Republican primary in August.
Salazar has otherwise been an ally of Trump. She endorsed his 2024 campaign and Trump gave Salazar his “Complete and Total Endorsement” in February.

“People are getting killed out here with gas and diesel prices.”
The importers got the $166 billion in tariff refunds, you and others didn’t, even though it was repeatedly claimed ordinary people paid most of the cost.
I posted here on FR over 100 times for Freepers to ask their federal officials for a share for Gas Help, which could have been obtained by Congress imposing a windfall profit income tax on tariff rebates.
It is now too late.
“If they haven’t taken public money, and worked and paid their bills, that is a good test. The goal is good citizens.”
“Maybe we could go back to eggs are too expensive.”
Your first sentence implies such people are receiving adequate wages.
Why should we expect wage rates to have to soar if they were removed?
lol
The feel “betrayed” because Trump stopped their illegal raids of the U.S. Big Piñata. Trump never promised the illegal aliens “a better life” of shopping at Walmart all day and eating free on the U.S. taxpayers’ dimes at Texas Roadhouse and IHOP. “Betrayal” my ass. Trump “betrayed” no one. Today we march tomorrow we deport their illegal asses before they steal the land from us that we stole from the Indians.
Why should we expect wage rates to have to soar if they were removed?
Spain recently gave out an amnesty.
It’s enclave of Ceuta was invaded shortly afterwards.
It was agreed in the 1980s that there would be a one-time amnesty.
¡Una vez!
She is an amnesty Cupid Stunt.

“I never said anything about that, you must have some thoughts.”
Your second sentence implied that:
““Maybe we could go back to eggs are too expensive.”
Did it not?
Go away .
Your answers are stupid enough to be an AI bot
Pronto.
She is La Raza ( the race) this is why I could never trust Rubio.
Exactly.
Your answers are stupid enough to be an AI bot
That’s the absolute truth.
Labor is subject to the laws of supply and demand. Has FR lost IQ or what? Smaller worker pool = higher wages.
