House Republican Turns on Trump in Stunning Campaign Ad: Hispanics Who Elected You Feel ‘Betrayed’

Rep. María Elvira Salazar (R-FL) has taken direct aim at President Donald Trump and his immigration crackdown in a new re-election ad, warning that the Hispanic voters who helped return him to the White House in 2024 now feel “betrayed.”

The congresswoman, who endorsed Trump in 2024 and urged Hispanic voters to back him, delivered the unusually direct message to the president as she campaigns for another term in her Miami-area district.

“Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far. In July, 50% of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal record. Be careful what your advisors are telling you about immigration policy. The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today,” she warned in the ad.

She continued: “You can be for immigration what [Abraham] Lincoln was for slavery and [Ronald] Reagan was for communism. I’m not talking about giving them amnesty. I’m talking about giving them a dignified life in this promised land.”

NEW: Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) just rolled out a straight to camera ad breaking with Trump.

The video comes weeks before the November midterm elections, when Salazar will face Democratic nominee Eliott Rodriguez in Florida’s 27th Congressional District. Salazar won the Republican primary in August.

Salazar has otherwise been an ally of Trump. She endorsed his 2024 campaign and Trump gave Salazar his “Complete and Total Endorsement” in February.

Deporting illegal qaliens DOES NOT JUT MEAN ONLY THOSE WITH A CRIMINAL RECORD.

Just coming here illegally is a crime.

Overstaying your visa is a crime.

F***ing RINO’s are killing us...

Someone wanting to be a “good citizen” would have followed the law on getting into the US, as MANY have. Wouldn’t they?

If you entered our country illegally then you ARE a criminal. It’s not rocket music theory.

Don’t be an idiot. People are getting killed out here with gas and diesel prices. And winter hasn’t even started. Food prices also. Voted for Trump 3 times. But he made a grave mistake listening to the CiA and Mossad when in came down to Iran. Now we are stuck with no end in sight and the conflict expanding to other countries. That, was not made up by the left. That is what is going to empower the left in the mid-terms. God help us.

“Mr. President, some”

The Congress Critter is exactly right. True small government conservative direction.

Deport Naturalized, Legal and Illegal immigrants who
1) give aid and comfort to terrorists, enemies of the US
2) murder, rape, ... DUI, Drunk n Disorderly
3) apply for welfare, benefits
4) lie on visa or other documents

Do not waste money trying to deport illegals who work hard, take care of their family, sit beside us in church.

Also, do not let Bovino types change the headline and story to Protestors and away from Welfare corruption, political corruption. murder, rape, etc. Protestors should not be the story.

This is a sign of how far Latinos are disaffected with Republicans and doesn’t bode well for Texas.

this is a sign is that the media is good at manipulating.

Did they enter the country illegally thereby breaking the law?

Tell us, weren’t you the guy who suppored Obama and his support for Iran? Aren’t you the guy who will blame Trump when Iran goes nuclear?

So what is your plan for good citizenship?

You think an application at the boarder is a good test?

When I buy a car, I take it for a test drive. I haven’t signed the paperwork until I do.

Catch and release as some good aspects to it. It is a test drive of potential good citizens. There are some I would sponser and have done so indiretly.

If they haven’t taken public money, and worked and paid their bills, that is a good test. The goal is good citizens.

Folks, if we kicked out every illegal, we would be in a world of hurt. Then you would bitch about something else.

Maybe we could go back to eggs are too expensive.

around here we are told by a Mexican contractor friend who has done lots of work for us that the ones getting picked up ARE the ones who create problems for themselves...ie...get picked up by police for some reason or other. It is a conundrum, I agree.

The easiest way to not get deported is:
1. not to be a criminal,
2. not hang around criminals.

The ilictos hanging around criminals are quite likely to be criminals themselves.

She got into power. That is all that mattered. If she loses, she has already made her name and will get rich supporting illegals.

She felt this way beforehand, poor vetting.

“if we kicked out every illegal, we would be in a world of hurt.”

How many illegals do you have on your payroll, Mr. Roofing Contractor?

None, of course.

How many illegals do you have on your payroll, Mr. Meat Packer?

None, of course.

Many businesses in many fields have no illegals on their payroll.
