Message: Massachusetts Rep. Ayanna Pressley incited 59 Democrats to co-sign an official government letter demanding a federal investigation of supposed lynchings that never happened and do not exist. The Democrat signatories reported being “extremely alarmed by reports of Black people found hanging from trees throughout our country.” Using tax dollars and tax-paid office equipment and staff, Democrat Pressley and her colleagues invented a crime, and are clamoring for a federal response.
REALITY CHECK: reporting a non-existent crime is a criminal offense in every US jurisdiction.
A false report is a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the severity of the response.
Penalties increase if the fake report wastes tax dollars, l/e time, or triggers a major emergency response.
Pressly as the ringleader and the Democrat signatories should be charged with misdemeanors and felonies.
